Last updated: 17 February 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Take Apart Solutions Limited, trading as Carhuntr (“Carhuntr”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal information when you access or use the Carhuntr mobile applications and our website (together, the “Services”).

By downloading, registering for, accessing, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree with it, you must not use the Services.

This Privacy Notice:

      • describes the categories of personal information we collect and receive;
      • explains the purposes for which we use that information;
      • sets out the lawful bases we rely on under the UK GDPR; and
      • explains the rights available to you in relation to your personal information.

We process personal information only to the extent necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice and in accordance with applicable law. Within those purposes, we may apply reasonable operational discretion (for example, to maintain, secure, develop, and improve the Services; support users; prevent misuse; and administer subscriptions and feature access), provided such processing remains consistent with this Privacy Notice and applicable legal requirements.

Where permitted by law, we may also generate aggregated, anonymised, statistical, or derived data from information relating to use of the Services. Such data does not identify you and is not personal data. Carhuntr owns all rights, title, and interest in any such aggregated, anonymised, statistical, or derived data, and may use, analyse, reproduce, publish, licence, and commercialise it for any lawful purpose without restriction and without obligation to you.

1) WHO WE ARE (DATA CONTROLLER)

Company:
Take Apart Solutions Limited (trading as Carhuntr)
Company number: 14995071
Registered address: 9 St. Georges Place, Brighton, East Sussex, England, BN1 4GB
Contact: contact@carhuntr.ai

We are the data controller for personal information processed in connection with the Services.

2) WHAT THE SERVICES DO

Carhuntr is a subscription-based mobile application for car traders and dealers that provides vehicle sourcing and listing-notification services. Users create an account, set preferences, and receive alerts when relevant vehicle listings are identified. The Services may also include features such as saving vehicles, managing alerts, and using tokens to access certain checks and reports (including valuations, write-off checks, and MOT history).

3) SUBSCRIPTION PLANS, TOKENS, AND FREE TIER (IMPORTANT)

This section explains how plans and tokens work and how certain account and transaction information is processed.

3.1 Free tier

Carhuntr may offer a free tier that provides limited access to features, including up to 50 notifications (or an equivalent cap as displayed in-app). Any limits, eligibility criteria, and feature availability will be shown in the app and may change over time.

3.2 Paid plans (Pro and Dealer)

Carhuntr may offer paid plans such as Pro and Dealer (and any future plans). Plan pricing, benefits, eligibility, and included token allocations (if any) are displayed in-app at the point of purchase.

3.3 Recurring billing

Paid plans are typically billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly), unless stated otherwise at purchase. Billing and subscription management may be handled by app marketplace providers and/or payment processors (depending on your purchase route). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant platform or in accordance with the instructions shown in the app.

3.4 Tokens

Certain features may require tokens (for example, unlocking specific checks or reports). Tokens may be included within a plan or made available for purchase where applicable.

Tokens are not property and do not represent money or a stored value product. Accordingly:

      • Tokens have no monetary value and are not legal tender.
      • Tokens are non-transferable (you cannot sell, gift, trade, or assign them).Tokens are generally non-refundable, except where required by law.
      • Where token allocations are tied to a subscription cycle, tokens do not carry over between billing periods, unless we expressly state otherwise          in-app.
      • Token availability, inclusions, and usage rules may vary by plan and are described in-app.

4) PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

      • You can change or remove your saved location within account settings.
      • If you do not provide location, certain distance-based features may not be available.

4.4 Vehicle and listing data linked to your account

4.5 Call recordings

Call recordings:
We may record calls (including calls to or from customer support) for purposes such as quality assurance, training, compliance, fraud prevention, and to help resolve enquiries and disputes.
